
Eric Dyer
Co-Founder, Executive Director
Eric is the Executive Director at New Harbor, and is responsible for overseeing the operations of New Harbor and ensuring its activities align with New Harbor’s mission and values. Eric received his bachelor’s degree from Union College and completed a dual-degree , JD and an MBA in Healthcare Management, program at Albany Law School and Clarkson University, where he graduated summa cum laude. Eric began his legal career at a large law firm based in Upstate New York, where he focused on healthcare law and advising various behavioral and health and human services treatment providers. Eric also serves on the Board of Directors for Friends of Recovery New York, and has had his story featured in Men’s Health Magazine.

Justin Cambria LICSW
Co-Founder, Director of Clinical Outreach
Justin is the Director of Clinical Outreach at New Harbor Behavioral Healthcare. He began his work in behavioral health through his personal recovery journey, which began in 2009. He is a passionate believer in holistic healing and many paths to recovery. Justin has worked for a decade as a therapist, family coach, case manager, and clinical outreach director. He has developed extensive experience in care planning and advising for individuals and family systems facing all sorts of challenges in mental health and substance use, and maintains relationships with organizations and practitioners throughout the country. Justin earned a dual Masters in Clinical Social Work and Masters in Business Administration from Boston College, and a Bachelors from Middlebury College. He is also an RYT-200 certified yoga instructor.

Destinee Lucier LCSW
Program Director
Destinee is the program director at New Harbor, overseeing and supervising day-to-day clinical activities in the facility. She is a patient centered clinician that has a passion for mental health treatment. She has experience with working with diverse populations and cultures over the years. Her experience includes Intensive-In-Home Family therapy, Adolescent Detox, and as Program Director for a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program. She received her bachelors in Criminal Justice and Pre Law at Anna Maria College and her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Simmons University. Destinee enjoys creating and implementing narrative based group therapy as well as assisting the patient’s in finding their own path to a healthy and happy life. She believes recovery is a multifaceted process that encompasses the mind, body, and soul.

Omar Shah MD
Medical Director
Dr. Shah is a board certified psychiatrist treating patients of all ages, with a particular interest in serving adolescents. Dr. Shah is full-time faculty at the Harvard Medical School and as an Attending Physician at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is a Ruth Fox Scholar of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and a recipient of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) John Renner Award. He served as the Vice Chair of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Leadership Fellowship and was recently awarded the APA Resident Recognition Award.

Isabella Denio-Miller
Director of Admissions
Isabella is the Director of Admissions at New Harbor, managing all aspects of the journey families take to enter our programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science from Fitchburg State University. Since graduating, she has worked extensively in community-based mental health settings, supporting individuals across the lifespan from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College, she also serves as a graduate-level counseling intern, serving clients in individual and group therapy. Driven by a genuine passion for helping others, Isabella believes in the power of empathy, connection, and access to care as key components to healing and growth.

Nicole Willey MA
Primary Therapist
Nicole is a graduate of the Boston College Masters in Mental Health Counseling program who has a strong interest in working with teens struggling with depression, anxiety, and related issues. Nicole also has experience working with those impacted by traumatic experiences, OCD, and self-harm. Previously, Nicole interned in a college counseling center, and she has previous professional experience working with children on the autism spectrum. She is deeply passionate about supporting young people to find true healing.

Michelle Hay
Clinical Masters Intern
Michelle graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BA from UMass Boston in 2013 and will receive her Master of Social Work degree from Salem State University in 2026. She first became interested in behavioral and mental health therapies through her own pursuit of recovery more than six years ago. She takes seriously the importance of assessing individuals thoroughly and across time, tailoring evidence-supported interventions and treatments conducive to short- and long-term success. In addition to her clinical and academic training, she holds certifications as a yoga instructor, including as an RYT-200, in aerial yoga, and in Yoga Nidra (iRest®), and she has completed CEUs focused on trauma-informed approaches. Michelle also volunteers for organizations dedicated to mentoring and supporting individuals and family members impacted by loved ones’ addictions and other mental illnesses, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and post-traumatic stress.

Isabelle Ream MSW
Primary Therapist
Isabelle graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College with a strong interest in supporting individuals struggling with substance use and emotional dysregulation. She has experience interning with Veterans with PTSD and substance use disorders and adolescents in high school settings. Isabelle also has a background working with children on the autism spectrum, behavioral health patients in the emergency room, and the elderly in the nursing home, which has deepened her understanding of diverse emotional and behavioral needs. Her clinical approach is rooted in empathy, connection, and helping individuals build practical skills for lasting change. Isabelle is passionate about walking alongside clients in their healing journeys with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

Liza Dennis MA
Art Therapist
Liza feels that art therapy is for everyone. She earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Lesley University and has a deep passion for helping individuals discover their voice through creative expression. Her therapeutic approach focuses on using art as a tool for self-awareness and self-actualization, allowing clients to explore and process emotions that might be difficult or even impossible to verbalize. She believes that through self-expression, people can tap into deeper layers of their experience and begin to feel their way through life’s challenges. She utilizes art materials to foster a safe space where talking is not always necessary—feeling is. She supports her clients on their journey toward emotional well-being, helping them build resilience, and nurturing a sense of empowerment through the transformative power of creativity.

Abigail McMillan

Abigail is a graduate of Marist College with a BA in psychology and is currently in her Master’s of Mental Health Counseling program at Sacred Heart University. Abigail has a strong interest and extensive background in working with teens struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction and related issues. Abigail also has experience working with those impacted by traumatic experiences, OCD, legal problems and self-harm. Previously, Abigail has worked in other day treatment programs addressing mental health and addiction, and has also worked with inmates. Abigail has also interned with family services and provided a teen grief support group and mindfulness curriculum. She is deeply passionate and excited about supporting young people to find true healing and direction.

Abby Dufresne MA
Case Manager & Alumni Program Director
Abby Dufresne is a graduate of Lesley University’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Drama Therapy, with specialized training in the drama therapy technique of Developmental Transformations and other creative relational approaches to care. She is passionate about using expressive therapies to foster connection, transformation, and self-discovery among adolescents. Abby’s clinical interests focus on integrating the expressive arts into therapeutic work to support emotional growth and resilience. In addition to her clinical role, she will be leading New Harbor’s alumni programming, where she aims to build a supportive and enduring community for program graduates.

Nina is a Behavioral Health Technician at New Harbor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Behavioral Neuroscience and Queer Studies from Rhode Island College in January 2025. She is a former theatre artist and is passionate about all things related to the human experience. Nina brings a unique blend of scientific curiosity and creative insight to her work. Her background in performance art continues to inform her empathetic, client-centered approach, and she is committed to fostering safe, affirming spaces for healing and growth.

Maizie
Prancing Princess of Joy
Maizie, though prone to a sharp bark now and then, is a general fountain of bouncing joy. As she prances ever so daintily throughout the office, people tend to scoop her up for a hug. She always complies. The Marvelous Mrs. Maizie is a great part of the New Harbor community!

Paco & Jack
Co-Leads of Boundless Joy
Paco & Jack are a pair of fine hounds who spend most days at New Harbor directly supporting the needs of client, employees and everyone else who may visit. Although they have been known to steal a stray sandwich from a table now and again, they seem to make up for these trnagressions with oodles of cuddles bestowed upon anyone who wishes. Occasionally, they accompany our clients on de-stressing walks around the building.
