One of our favorite crafts this week: paper stars One of our favorite crafts this week: paper stars ⭐

Creative expression can be a healthy outlet for our minds. It can help reduce stress, encourage mindfulness, and provide a moment to slow down and stay present.

Sometimes the smallest creative moments can bring the biggest sense of calm.

What’s a craft or creative activity you’ve been loving lately?

Not everyone’s path looks the same after graduation. Some people feel certain, some feel lost, but most are somewhere in between.

A lot of the time there’s pressure to have a plan, a timeline, and everything figured out right away. But that is not reality.

If your next step feels unclear right now, that doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re human.

You’re allowed to pivot. Slow down. Start over. Change your mind. None of that means you’re behind. 😊

We were honored to welcome singer-songwriter @lily We were honored to welcome singer-songwriter @lilyfittsmusic to New Harbor Behavioral Healthcare for a special afternoon at our Alumni Event.

Lily shared her story, performed several songs, and took thoughtful questions from our clients. The conversation was honest, vulnerable, and incredibly moving. Watching young people connect with someone who has faced her own challenges and is willing to speak openly about them was a powerful reminder of how much representation and authenticity matter.

As Lily’s career continues to grow, we’re especially grateful that she took the time to spend it with our community. She is using her voice not only through her music, but also to help break down stigma around mental health and show young people that they are not alone.

Thank you, Lily, for sharing your talent, your experience, and your heart with us. Your visit made a lasting impact on everyone in the room. 💙

Sometimes it’s writing everything out just to get it out of your system.

Sometimes it’s putting your phone down, or texting someone and saying “hey, I’m not great today.”

New Harbor’s resident journal expert, Sam, opens u New Harbor’s resident journal expert, Sam, opens up about how journaling has become one of the simplest ways to support mental health: less about writing perfectly, more about getting things out of your head and onto the page.

A few ways to start if you’re new to it:
1. brain dump whatever is on your mind, no filter
2. write 3 things you’re feeling and why
3. jot down one small win from your day
4. use prompts like “today felt like…” or “right now I need…”

It does not have to be deep or pretty to be helpful. It just has to be honest.
